We focus the interest on the development of mathematical models to describe the evolution of dynamical systems with sexual reproduction. In the last years, this research line has received several theoretical and applied contributions. In particular, most biological species reproduce sexually which requires the involvement of female and male individuals in the population. Two important phases are carried out: mating and reproduction. New classes of two-sex branching processes where, in each generation, the reproduction phase is developed in a random environment, or where both biological phases, mating and reproduction, are influenced by the current numbers of females and males in the population, have been investigated. In this talk, we present several methodological results concerning such classes of two-sex processes. As illustration, we also show some biological applications.
